Baby Prince Update

I can't believe that in 5 1/2 short weeks, I will be holding my baby boy. Where did the time go?!?

Since week 25, we have been seeing the doctor every two weeks for a check-up and an ultrasound. Clark has been growing healthy and big! It has been so so fun to get to see him each appointment and to start to see his little personality! He doesn't like to have his picture taken and during each ultrasound his hands have been on or around his face. I'm pretty sure we have a thumb sucker already. His little legs like to kick at the wand and everything else except for his daddy! Each time we've seen him, he has changed positions completely. He is riding VERY low but somehow manages to play in my ribs at the same time. Somedays I think he spreads eagle and pushes on all sides of my belly at once! As of week 27, Clark was measuring about 10 days further along. After talking with my doctor about his size and the logistics of birth the decision was made to induce labor at the 38 week mark. So as of right now our new "due date" is the 30th of January. We saw the doctor again at week 29 and 31 and he is still growing healthy and on track. Clark is a kicker and a mover for sure! He is pretty sporadic throughout the day but when I sit down and relax at night before bed he comes alive and will even play with me sometimes. I love getting to feel little pokes and pushes and trying to figure out which part of his body I'm feeling. What a great miracle he is!

Brandon Clark Prince- week 25

Look at those cheeks! week 29

Brandon and I have been busy trying to make sure we have everything ready and prepared! Clark's nursery is almost done, just a few little things left to do and it will be ready for his arrival. I love how it came together, it is bright and cozy. It's one of my favorite rooms in the house. Moose LOVES his room and I'm sure he is planning on spending as much time in there as possible (he already does!)

We took a birth/newborn care class from our local hospital at the beginning of December. It wasn't as helpful as I thought it would be, but I'm sure that is because of all of the first hand experience we've gotten being around my sister and getting to witness the birth of my newest nephew. We did however get to tour the women center of the hospital, which was nice and comforting!

The first weekend of December Brandon and I traveled down to Utah for his annual ARMY Christmas party/Military Ball. Saturday morning Brandon's aunts and step-mom threw us a baby shower. I had so much fun seeing everyone and getting to share this exciting time in our lives! They definitely spoiled Clark and I can't wait for him to know the love that they have for him already. That night we got all dressed up and went to the party. I love getting fancy and it was nice to get out and meet some new people.
Christmas Party 2014- 30 weeks

The next two weeks will be filled with rest, relaxation and getting as much done for Clark's arrival as possible. We hope to have everything ready by the time I go back to school on Jan. 5th. Brandon has been such a good sport, going along with all of my random whims that past couple of days! He is going to be such a good daddy, I can't wait for him to get to bond with Clark like I have. Our holidays will be pretty low key, lots of family time mixed with work for Brandon.

We hope that the holidays find your family happy, healthy and well.
