Summer Time (a quick update)

Oh how the days fly by! I can hardly believe it is already the end of August... Where has my summer gone?!?

I finished up the last few months of school. My 7th graders did awesome on their end of year tests and we said goodbye with a bang! I will miss them all terribly. I had such an amazing first year. 7th graders were tough, but I learned so much more than I ever thought I would. I was also given the opportunity to coach a 6th grade girls club volleyball team. It was a great experience, though it was NOT a cake walk by any means! Out of 10 players total, only 2 of them had ever played on a team before. When I was younger, we went to volleyball camp starting SUPER young and at about 3rd or 4th grade we started playing on teams in Idaho Falls leagues so it was hard for me to comprehend making it all the way to 6th grade before ever playing with a team. We started with the very basics and over the course of a couple months we learned A LOT! They were so fun to coach and I'm so proud of how far they came.

Brandon owed the girl push-ups for all the points they earned.

Brandon and the girls

Brandon graduated from post on March 15, 2013. He did so well while there. He was recognized for his outstanding PT (physical training) work and did well on his tests and marksmanship. We were so lucky that Brandon's mom and dad were able to come out and attend his graduation and stay with us for a few days. Brandon didn't waste any time once he came home from POST. He went right to work with the IFPD and spent the following months on FTO (the departmental part of his training). Here are some pictures taken at his POST graduation:

One of the most exciting things to happen during these months came at the end of April. Brandon and I had been searching for our first home since November. Well we found it! We moved in at the end of March and have been slowly settling in. The house is amazing! It is everything we wanted. I will do an entire post on the house in a little while once I get pictures to post so you can see it in ALL of it's glory =]

There is the first installment of MANY posts to come to get ALL caught up! As always we love you and hope that you are blessed in everything that you are and do <3
